Trump Meetings & the Privilege of Prayer
President Donald J. Trump has been meeting with a wide variety of politicians, business leaders, and experts from various fields. And taking an unusual approach he has met with close friends and foes alike. Commentators and pundits alike have expressed surprise over his meetings with people who have publicly criticized him during the election process. He has met with democrats, republicans, and independents. It seems he wants to “pick the brains” of experts which in turn might benefit his presidency. I have heard several individuals say that they considered it an honor to be invited to these meet with him.
You probably were not invited. But there is a very important meeting that everyone is invited to. It the invitation of prayer; an opportunity to dialog with the King of the World, Father God. The privilege of prayer requires no reservations or preferred status. You need not be an expert in your field of endeavor, a business CEO, or seasoned politician.
Father God invites all of us to come boldly to Him and share our concerns, our questions, our fears, and needs with him anytime. It has been said that people who pray regularly have more peace, make better decisions, and are generally happier. Don’t miss out on these benefits. Lyrics from a very old song says:
“Oh, what peace we often forfeit,
Oh, what needless pain we bear.
All because we do not carry,
Everything to God in prayer.”
“How do I pray,” you may ask? Prayer is simply communicating with God. Talk to him. Express your thanksgiving for your blessings and benefits. Ask for His divine guidance for the day. Mention the names of family members, friends, or co-workers who may be going thru a difficult season or have challenges. Ask God to give them strength and wisdom. Ask Him to help you become all He created you to be. Ask for help in overcoming harmful habits and shortcomings you are struggling with. In short, don’t be shy, but open regarding any area of your life you need help with. There is nothing too small He is not interested in and there is nothing too big he cannot handle.
The Privilege of Prayer is yours. Use it today…….and every day.
Lord God Almighty. Thank you for the blessings and benefits I have received. Even for breath and for every opportunity life brings. May I use them to glorify you. Make me a blessing to others I will meet today. Grant my family members wisdom as they make decisions today. Father God, I bring you my neighbors, co-workers and friends to you (by name) who are going through difficult struggles. Grant them emotional, spiritual, and physical strength. Grant them peace
